Robert Stankovich

Sound Recordist

Robert Stankovich

Rob joined Sandra and Conan for the second part of the trip from Uluru (Ayres Rock). He almost doubled the crew in terms of size and personality. Rob wanted to be involved in this project because of the riders’ amazing courage in tackling such a mission.

Rob, whose father is a television engineer, has been around the television industry for most of his life. Rob has a solid foundation of 10 years’ experience as a sound recordist in Australia, working for studio film and on-location productions.

Rob has worked on a wide and varied collection of projects – from international sporting events such as Formula One Grand Prix and The Australian Open tennis, documentaries and children’s television shows, to TV dramas and feature films. Rob has filmed prime ministers and travelled worldwide in the profession that he loves, and has been praised for his work for National Geographic.

On days off he may be found fishing or surfing wherever he can get to the water.
