Rob Clark

Composer

Rob Clark

Robert is a composer based in Sydney. He was drawn to The Ride because he loves helping to tell meaningful and inspirational stories.

After graduating from the University of Queensland with a degree in composition, Robert found himself writing music for numerous productions in Brisbane's vibrant independent theatre scene. Collaborating on the art of storytelling became a real passion, and in 2009 he moved to Sydney to do post-graduate study in screen music at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. Since then he has composed music for many short films and documentaries, and most recently, two six-part television series produced by Thought Films (Wild Africa Goes Hi-Tech and World on Wheels) and FoxSports' Rugby World Cup 2011 and Wallabies 2012 season campaigns.

In 2010 he co-founded a company called Aurigami, which has produced music and sound for television commercials, independent feature films, video games and online content. Aurigami also collaborates with orchestrator Jessica Wells in preparing feature film scores to be recorded in Sydney, and has worked on such Hollywood films as The Killer Elite and Happy Feet 2. In addition to composing, Robert writes interviews, reviews and feature articles for 2MBS FineMusic and other music industry-related publications such as AudioTechnology magazine.
